J. Eduardo Amezcua Martínez is a project manager and an associate professor at Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM). He obtained a BS in industrial and systems engineering and a MS in quality and productivity at ITESM. Mr. Amezcua has gained international experience working in New Zealand and the United States. He has done industrial engineering projects in several industries such as food processing, ceramics, printing, beverage and software. Mr. Amezcua also delivers training and consulting in manufacturing and service environments.
Fernando Gonzalez Aleu is an associate professor at the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico. He received a BS in mechanical and management engineering at UDEM in 1993, an MS at ITESM in 1999, and both a MS and PhD in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech in 2015 and 2016, respectively. His research focuses on the applications of continuous improvement projects and operational excellence. Prior industry experience includes 15 years implementing quality, environmental and management systems. Dr. Gonzalez is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM), American Society for Quality (ASQ) and IEOM Society.
Director of Extension, Consulting, and Research (DIECI)
Jacobo Tijerina Aguilera is the director of the Extension, Consulting and Research Division at Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico. He has a BS in industrial and systems engineering, a MS in applied statistics and a MS in industrial engineering, all from ITESM. Currently he is enrolled at Universitat Politècnica de València to obtain a PhD in design, fabrication and project management. Mr. Tijerina has conducted research and consulting projects with companies in the automotive, food & beverages, and electronic industries, as well as government offices. He has delivered training regarding Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma and engineering economics, among others. Mr. Tijerina is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
