The role of a Shingo Prize examiner is to use his/her expertise in operational excellence to evaluate organizations through report reviews and site visit assessments. An examiner's expertise is a function of experience and training with the Shingo model and assessment criteria. Examiners serve as a member of a diverse team and provide valuable feedback to the organization assessed. Examiners are selected based on a defined criteria available online at: http://shingoprize.org/become-examiner.html. It is expected that examiners continuously expand their knowledge of operational excellence, both through their career and personal development. Examiners are expected to be a strong advocate of The Shingo Prize.
